GeoCue Group is a small, Madison Alabama-based technology company that develops, sells, trains and supports a variety of high accuracy mapping hardware and software products and services. In addition, we perform drone-based data collection and processing services for the mining and industrial markets.

Support Technician

4-6 years of experience working in geospatial data production or customer support with an emphasis on airborne/mobile LIDAR data processing

  • Experience with industry standard LIDAR and GIS software packages including GeoCue, LP360, TerraScan, TerraModeler, TerraMatch, TerraPhoto, MicroStation and ArcGIS is preferred
  • Familiarity with orthophoto production workflows and related software tools would be an asset
  • Strong analytic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills
  • A degree in Engineering or Earth Sciences preferred but not required
  • Must have a valid US driver license with a clean driving record
  • Non-tobacco users only

Duties will include:

  • Resolving technical support cases by troubleshooting problems directly with users via phone, email and web support tools
  • Tracking cases that have been escalated to the Development team
  • Maintaining support case records in our Customer Relationship Management system
  • Identifying and logging feature and change requests from users
  • Internal testing of new software versions and service packs prior to release
  • Writing technical notes addressing common support issues or user requests
  • Participating in product development planning sessions to provide the user perspective to Product Managers
  • Software installation and training both at our offices and client locations

Business Development Associate

GeoCue Group develops and markets technical software and hardware for conventional and drone airborne mapping solutions.  We are looking for a candidate to join our Sales and Marketing Department. The goal of the department is to generate, nurture and close opportunities in the markets we serve. 

The ideal candidate will have inside sales experience in a technology area.  They will be passionate about our products and persistent in acquiring long-term customers.   Our customer base includes both commercial companies as well as Federal, State and local governments.  We also do business Internationally. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a territory strategy to maintain a pipeline of opportunities large enough to make goals
  • Consultative sales approach, listening and understanding a customer’s problem before determining a solution
  • Capture, update, manage all account and opportunity information in Dynamics CRM
  • Maintain a current understanding of product capabilities and applicable workflows
  • Actively engage with prospects from initial interest to purchase, working with complex and lengthy sales cycles
  • Travel when needed to work large opportunities or participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars
  • Prepare and present quotations for solutions
  • Coordinate product demonstrations and/or technical meetings

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of direct sales experience in an area that required a detailed understanding of technology
  • A proven record of sales success
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments
  • CRM experience
