GeoCue Group is a small, Madison Alabama-based technology company that develops, sells, trains and supports a variety of high accuracy mapping hardware and software products and services. In addition, we perform drone-based data collection and processing services for the mining and industrial markets.

Business Development Associate

GeoCue Group develops and markets Drone LIDAR and Geospatial Software for the Surveying, Engineering, Mapping and other Geospatial segments. We are looking for a candidate to join our Sales and Marketing Department. The goal of the department is to generate, nurture and close opportunities in the markets we serve.  It is to maintain reasonable and consistent growth year over year.

The ideal candidate will have sales experience in a technology area.  They will be passionate about our products, self-motivated, and willing to contribute to the department.  With the right candidate, we will look to grow this position. Our customer base includes both commercial companies as well as Federal, State and local governments.  We also do business Internationally.  Sometimes direct, but often through one of our resellers.

Responsibilities

  • Consultative sales approach, listening and understanding a customer’s problem before determining a solution.
  • Understand complex and lengthy sales cycle, adopt process for managing accounts from initial interest to purchase.
  • Actively engage with prospective customers to qualify and set appointments for members of the sales department.
  • Research leads to determine key information: company structure, current initiative, and prior engagements.
  • Collaborate with members of the sales and marketing department on lead generation to assist in developing new business opportunities.
  • Capture, update, manage all account and opportunity information in Dynamics CRM.
  • Maintain a current understanding of product capabilities and applicable workflows.
  • Prepare and present quotations for solutions
  • Coordinate product demonstrations and/or technical meetings.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of direct sales experience in an area that required a detailed understanding of technology.
  • A proven record of sales success.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments internally.
  • CRM experience preferred.
