Here we are already in the start of a brand new year. Like most of you, we have been busily working on our plans for 2018. I always promise myself to have these complete before the end of the year but never quite succeed. Anyway, we have a lot of projects in the hopper for 2018.
We continue to provide premiere support for LIDAR production and exploitation organizations using Terrasolid products, GeoCue workflow environments and LP360. There have been substantial new features added to these tools over the past year so you might want to consider a few days of on-site training to tune up your skills. The return on investment for training is very short, so it is a wise place to spend a bit.
Our Loki Direct Geopositioning system for DJI (and other) drones is really booming. There is much higher interest in reducing the need for ground control than I initially thought. We are seeing just remarkable results with a DJI Inspire 2, DJI X4S camera (calibrated by us) equipped with a Loki direction geopositioning system. In another section of this newsletter we have published a case study on accuracy in a recent mine site mapping project.
Speaking of DJI, we signed an Enterprise Dealer agreement with them in November. We can now offer all DJI products, both drones and accessories. This makes it easy for you to acquire a turnkey hardware/software solution from a single vendor. We can even offer a static base station or RTK survey kit, if needed.
As you can see, we have made major commitments of expending our GeoCue business into the drone mapping arena. We now offer just about every component you might need to stand up a drone mapping division, whether traditional Structure from Motion using a camera or a full up LIDAR solution.
If you are already a customer, we thank you sincerely for your business. If you are not, we invite you to give us a call and see if we can help you move your business forward in either traditional manned LIDAR mapping or in the new, exciting world of very high accuracy drone mapping.
