Expansion of the True View 3D Imaging Systems Product Line

Survey-Grade 3D Imaging System (3DIS)
Hopefully you were invited to our True View 615, True View 620 "reveal" webinar last week. We covered these two new additions to the True View product line in some detail. If you missed the webinar, you can link to a recording here. Like the True View 410, these systems (see Figure 1) are fully qualified 3D Imaging Systems ("3DISâ„¢"). A 3DIS produces colorized, 3D point clouds, usually from a carefully matched combination of laser scanner and cameras. The True View 615/620 employ the same GeoCue Mapping Cameras as the True View 410. However, the laser scanner is upgraded to the survey grade RIEGL miniVUX2-UAV. The True View 620 adds a high accuracy external inertial measurement unit (IMU) to the Applanix APX Position and Orientation System.

Get More From Your Mapping System!
The True View 615/620 include a desktop version of Applanix POSPac UAV for processing the position/orientation data. Our own True View EVO is included for data post-processing and analysis. The systems use the same dovetail mount as the True View 410, making installation very quick and easy. It can be installed on any drone that can carry about 3.2 kg for the True View 615 and 3.6 kg for the True View 620. When comparing the mass of our systems to others, be sure to note that ours include dual cameras!
We will soon be releasing a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for these new systems. We will also be putting together information on how to choose between the True View 410, the True View 615 and the True View 620.
We are very pleased to add RIEGL-class systems to the True View product line. We think you will be as well!
